According to the National Institute of Mental Health over 70% of all adults have been affected by a traumatic experience and 20% of those individuals go on to develop a traumatic disorder. One group particularly affected by trauma is the senior population and those with mental health challenges. With additional time to reflect on past unaddressed traumatic events often involving poor parenting, abuse, and the loss of loved ones. Providing appropriate trauma-responsive care and attention can make a positive difference in the lives of those you serve. In this interactive and practical session,
